About

Pianist, composer and teacher.

I’m Mohammadali Rezaei, a Melbourne-based classical pianist, composer and private piano teacher.

I have played classical piano for more than 13 years and have taught for more than seven, working with children, teenagers and adults from their very first notes through to advanced repertoire.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Classical Music from Azad University of Shiraz in Iran. Alongside teaching, I have prepared students for performances and music competitions, so I know what it takes to bring a piece to the stage.

My background also includes composition, film scoring and sound design. I have written music for theatre and film, including work screened at the 41st Tehran International Short Film Festival. That experience shapes how I teach expression, phrasing and listening, not only correct notes.

I teach in both English and Persian, so students and parents can learn in whichever language feels most comfortable.

Teaching philosophy

“I believe learning piano should be both technically rewarding and creatively inspiring. I combine structured classical training with engaging teaching methods tailored to each student’s interests and goals.”
